Our Scraper APIs use basic HTTP authentication, which requires sending a username and password.

Creating credentials

Create your API user credentials (USERNAME and PASSWORD) in the Oxylabs dashboard after signing up for one of our Scraper APIs' free trials or purchase the product.

When using code examples provided in this documentation, always replace USERNAME and PASSWORD with your API user credentials.

Changing user password

To change your API user password, navigate to the Oxylabs dashboard. Click on your active Scraper API product under "My Products" and select the "Users" tab. You will find a table listing your API user, with an edit icon on the right side. Click the icon to update the password.
